With Cincy QB Collaros out, we will probably beat Cincy, thereby ruining the record of the only Big East team receiving votes in ANY poll this week. (Not ranked, mind you, just receiving votes). Then, after they get an automatic BCS bid, the noise level from about 25 better teams (who are shut out of the BCS) will be deafening as they call for the conference to lose its automatic bid. And you think the rest of the Big East hates us now?

True, but if that happens, the ACC is going to love us. And Pitt, for beating Louisville. The more we can blow this thing up, the better for the ACC. The other AQs will love us too, more of a chance they can get 2 teams in the BCS. We'll be America's sweetheart and only the skanks will hate us.

Slow down there. SU fans cannot assume anything this season.

Are you kidding? Legieux is a RUNNING QB. Running QBs are Shafer's achilles heel. Two games in a row, no solution.

Screw the BCS, the Big East and Cincy. We need a win. I really don't care what the ramifications are. 6 wins or more. That's all that counts.

I do think this is a little presumptuous based on SU's recent performance. Collaros went out about half time and if Butch Jones had not turned into Doug Marrone with 1:30 to go UC shoulda, coulda, woudla beat WVU. For those that didn't watch...1:30+ to go, 1st down at about the 14 yard line down 3. Jones ran the clock looking for the tie then the FG was blocked. That said, SU stands a much better chance than with Collaros playing. Imo SU's undersized LB's will be an asset in chasing down Munchie who tends to throw on the run without setting his feet. Coaches might work on that the next couple weeks and he's got a game in between to get more comfortable. I guarantee he's better than any QB UConn put on the field. I still say load up on Pead and SU can win that game. But boy is the BE BCS rep going to get ripped this year.

That would be kind of funny, actually. Other than the BCS beatdown, of course. Still every BE team has had their own chances to take care of business. They can't blame the outcome of the season on one game.

Minor correction... West Virginia is ranked in three polls, Cincinnati is ranked in 2 polls. Here are the BE poll details:

West Virginia: AP=27, USA Today=23, Harris=22, Legends=24
Cincinnati: AP=29, USA Today=26, Harris=26, Legends=25
Rutgers: USA Today=30, Harris=38

While relatively new, both the Harris and Legends polls are part of the BCS formula... along with the USA Today coaches' poll.

But you are correct, if Syracuse were to beat Cincinnati then the Bearcats would be wiped from the polls.
