True. The International team played poorly towards the end of Saturday and the US team stepped up and saved what could have been a bad day.An 18.5-11.5 score implies the US had full control throughout.
But US didn't really gain control until the final 5 holes on Saturday.
The Saturday afternoon matches were crucial... on the back nine yesterday the US had a 3-1 lead... and for a brief time the International had switched it to 3-1 lead for themselves, and essentially a tie in the event, but the US flipped it right back. Those ended up being the 5 or 6 crucial swing holes in the event,
At 11-7 entering today it became a bit anti-climactic.
The competition was pretty much over after that collapse. It was fun to watch and I am glad they played it. Hope it continues. But the crazy number of commercials largely ruined it for me. I kept changing the channel because there were far too many too often.
