Princeton 27 FL ST 10 Halftime in TALLAHASSEE

Better than the Big LEast. It'll get better in time, trust me. Boston College, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Miami, NC State, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest all have so much talent around them. Syracuse and Pitt joining will only help those teams keep talent near them. It's no longer Duke, North Carolina, and the rest...

And if Florida can succeed, then Florida State can. The ACC is far superior to the SEC in hoops. FSU just needs a solid coach, and they could flourish.

But the ACC does blow now. BE is soooo much better at this time that it is not close. Years from now we will see but when the last wave left everyone declared the BE dead then too.

I think Hamilton is a good coach at FSU. They typically are competitive and have had good talent. It will be a tough league for us.

Exactly. Syracuse and Pitt joining will be the shot in the arm that the rest of the ACC needs to get better. The best thing that could happen to the ACC will be for Syracuse and Pitt to split the regular season and tournament championships in our first year. Showing that there isn't a two team race will open up recruiting for the rest of the ACC.

Unbelievable - FSU rallies to tie the game at the end of regulation then Princeton wins 75-73 in 3 OTs!!

Swofford is on the phone now with Moronatto trying to talk him into letting SU and Pitt into the ACC immediately.

The ACC is horrawful. Any year SU goes worse than 14-4 will be a bad year.

the ACC is so bad that if they had Syracuse and Pitt right now and there was an ACC Big East shootout, it would be a toss up. Yeah, the ACC would be big favorites in the first three, after that, who knows?

If the ACC fails to secure the Eastern seaboard by not getting the ACC tournament into MSG, the BE will continue to be successful. They should also add Uconn and Rutgers (or ND/PSU). Only then will the ACC own the EAST. I'm hoping Swofford is aware of this. Jeez, if I can figure it out, he should be able to.

Swofford has stated that they'd be ed not to pursue the Garden. However, I respect the history the ACC has in Greensboro. I think it'd be perfect to rotate between the Greensboro Coliseum and Madison Square Garden. Both have a ton of history and prestige.

Agree with this. NC would be a nice place to visit every other year, and both sides need to stay away from the ego trip in order to create one unified conference going forward. This is exactly why I DON'T want to see a north/south thing ever happen if say Uconn and another northern school join us. It would make a lot of sense, but I believe it would be a detriment to the forward progress of the league.

The ACC simply blows.

The Big East is down that's for sure but the ACC is worse. The "big6" OOC wins for the 10 ACC schools not named Duke or NC are:

Virginia over Michigan
Virginia over Oregon
VaTech over Oklahoma St
Maryland over Colorado
Maryland over ND
NC St over Texas
WF over Texas Tech
WF over Nebraska
Miami over Rutgers
Gtech over Georgia

The "big6" wins for the 14 BE schools not named SU or UConn are:

Gtown over Alabama
Seton Hall over Auburn
Seton Hall over WF
WVU over Kansas St
WVU over Miami
Marquette over Mississippi
Marquette over Wisconsin
Marquette over Washington
Cincinnati over Georgia
Cincinnati over Oklahoma
Louisville over Vandy
Pitt over Tennessee
Pitt over Oklahoma St
Depaul over Texas Tech
Depaul over Arizona St
Rutgers over Florida
Providence over South Carolina
Providence over BC

This stat, which is a pretty important one I think, clearly favors the Big East.
