If krautman is going to make difference between winning and losing the next two games our season is over anyway.. sit him down for the next 3 weeks and see if he can be ready for clemson.. if not then norton has played enough to hopefully be decent, he is the kicker next year anyway.

If we need another kicker for next year, then we need to get Fisher/Norton to head to a FCS school. Can't keep using scholarships on back-up kickers.

We'll just keep giving the unused scholarships to walk-ons. Since we can't ever seem to get 85 healthy scholarship players here at the same time.

I feel good about a scenario where our kicker is so shaky that we elect to go for it more on 4th down in the opponents territory instead of going for the field goal, but KICKERS GOTTA KICK and PUNTERS GOTTA PUNT.

Norton has to get his kicks up, a little low from what I could tell.

Norton has to get his kicks up, a little low from what I could tell.

I agree. I've never really been down on Krautman as many here have been. I think he's had some shaky spots, but he's been hurt some. When healthy, I think he's damn good.

But this is a good game to rest Krautman, rest Wales. No need to press these two in this one.

Strongly agree. His name shows up in the top 10 leaderboard of pretty much every SU kicking statistic. SU has had some good kickers, and he is one of the better ones.

He's a good kicker and hopefully Norton can do a good job to fill in for him. Good point about the rest but that darn groin injury is so hard to get over, especially for a kicker.
