Presumed he may not be ready until then. I've had two shoulder surgeries (rotator cuff & labrum) and it's generally a 6-8 month thing for full recovery. The shoulder joint area is very complex...the PT is extensive and painful. Thank goodness for the Oxy!

Would have preferred for him to be available for Minnesota game, given that game's importance, but I'd rather have him be 100% healthy and ready to go for the rest of the year than rush him back and risk re-injury.

Agree 100% with your assessment above. If he can't make it back before then, the Pitt game is ideal for a return, given how the off-week could be used to reintegrate him into the starting lineup, and give the entire OL time to adjust [Hickey moving, etc.].

Lose the Minn game and the season is pretty much over though. I am glad a lot of people think we could win the BE but I am skeptical of this team needing to win 5 games in the BE or beat Mizzou in order to get to 6 wins. Really would have liked to have Pugh back for next week. Players returning from injury should let the team be at full strength for Pitt. After the loss to NW the Minn game has become huge IMO. I have always felt that with this schedule the team HAD to be at least 2-2 to make a bowl.

We aren't going to lose the Minnesota game. Has anyone even watched them play this year?

If we aren't capable of winning that game, then we don't deserve to qualify for a bowl.
