Qb controversy is settled, what are we going to talk about now?

The train horn was awesome !!!! Sounds like the old hockey barn n Chicago? I loved it !!!!
No self-respecting hockey barn has a horn. That's what the band and students are for -- if you need a horn your fans aren't cutting it.

we are going to enjoy this respite for a couple of weeks.

my guess is till hunt looks like a deer in headlights v clemson, has allen come in and score v the scrubs and then the following week...have it him again choke it v nc state and allen wins the game.

gonna be a fun year barrel.....

Oh Lord

It's certainly possible that it plays out that way. I just don't think so. I think TH will have success, and I think he will struggle as all new starters do to some degree. And if he struggles against Clemson, well no one here will be surprised much. But I don't think we will see deer in the headlight eyes, or the complete dysfunction of the O like we saw with DA.

DA is a by the book player who expects every play to go according to script. TH is more of an improviser who is not uncomfortable when things break down. Different mind sets, different responses to adversity.

I don't expect SU to go undefeated the rest of the way. But I expect from here on out more of the the of season that most of us here originally expected.

Hopefully, the coaches will be able to keep DAs confidence up and keep him ready to go in.

I highly doubt people will be calling for Allen at this point and I think when you have an qb competition that is so close you are eventually going to settle it on the field or see both playing throughout the year.

I believe T Tech has a qb controversy after Thursday night as well.

To me Hunt won me over with his poise, feet, and I think the team responded.

Anyone who thinks the kid wont struggle at times is just setting themselves up. It's hard to deny just how bad Allen was the past few weeks

Well if nothing else...we have identified our 2nd string QB. It was great to see Charlie get some play in the game. While his QB skills might not compare with Hunts I like to see perseverance and his team first approach rewarded! He should have be given more reps under Marrone but that is water under the bridge.

Tulane will present more of a challenge next week but we SHOULD win handily. While we all expect Hunt to start it will be interesting to see what the staff does if he struggles out of the gate. Hopefully they don't panic and let him play through it.

I hope for another dominating performance and Drew gets some run in the 2nd half. Like it or not he is our best option as 2nd string right now and he needs to be ready as possible if called on.

EDIT: How great was it to see Broyld line up behind center and complete a pass? Now that we have a dual threat QB, not sure it is much of a change-up to put Broyld behind center. Would much rather see a pass to Broyld in the flat and then for him to hit a streaking receiver.

It's just nice to see a QB hit the wide open receiver rather than throw the ball at his feet. Allen shouldn't even be QB2 at this point

Hunt is much improved from the spring game. Kid has obviously worked very hard on his mechanics. Also much better pace and sense of urgency in getting to the next play and post snap decision making was immediate and decisive, no proceesing delay that we have seen with Allen.

After all that Hunt has endured in his personal life, it's hard to imagine that anything that happens on a football field will intimidate him. The team as a whole may struggle against Clemson, but I don't expect Hunt to have a "deer in the headlights" response.
