QB going forward

It’s not just that he’d start a game, it’s that he would get all of the practice reps.

I mean, if Dino really thinks it’s going to crush the kid’s confidence then he has to weigh that. But you just pull him aside and say look you’re a freshman with no pressure and aren’t losing a year of eligibility. So go have fun.

Best case, one of these two freshmen will be the backup next year and will need to be ready.

Worst case, one of them has to be next year’s starter.

Continuing to play a 5th year senior, to have more of the playbook available (in a losing season) when he’s making mistake after mistake anyway, seems like a foolish idea.
I don't think Morgan needs to start the next one but he absolutely should play.

There's an advantage to seeing a series or two from the sideline, talk to the coaches to see what they're seeing from the defense, then go in and make something happen.

Just give him a good amount of snaps in practice, and I'll be happy.

Giving 80% of them to Rex, as the starter, is just wasting an opportunity.

We won't have a bowl game, so we're in bowl practices mode.

There's an argument to be made that the thing that would help the most is to give Morgan 1st team snaps, Tex second team snaps, and have Rex on scout team to prep the defense.

It’s about developing the entire offense
I don’t think they trust the young buck to throw down field it’s way different
This would stunt wr development.
Alford got in yesterday
Tommy has a shot to come back for NC state
The coaches live this stuff and see what nobody else can’t . That said I’d roll the dice with Jacobian and see what happens
You mean its not just about what we saw in that drive? You mean there's actually pre snap, live and post reads made by the QB that effects the whole offense and how its ran? No way. Defenses are going to drool once they see Jacobian can only run base run and pass plays. We have to be careful not to destroy his confidence too early in his career. Rex should start. Jacobian should gets increased reps and series while he gradually learns more about the offense.
