Class of 2017 QB Kasim Hill (MD) Verbal to Maryland/Entering the Transfer Portal

I don't think this would necessarily be a bad idea for the program but I don't know if Hill wants to roll the dice on being a backup. Tommy has 3 years of eligibility left and is the clear cut starter next year. I think bringing on an upperclassman would be great to have depth but it's going to have to be the right kind of kid.

We lived in Bmore at the time Kasim was at Gilman which was a strong prep school program sending kids to P5 programs. He was a great kid and a great football player. Went to UMD and got pressed into service as a freshman. Tore up his knee. And that was pretty much the end. He would have been offered a big NIL package if he played today.

His name rang a bell when I came across it, and it was too compelling not to share!

Remember our involvement with Kasim waaaaaay back. Below is a roadmap of his career so far. Biggest problem for him was that he blew out both knees but hung in through MD, TN, and others now URI.
