If we get McCord i'm happy. He is pretty darn good but not great at this point. He is much better than what we have currently. He has a very nice arm but does miss some throws. We need to find a way to pass block fairly consistently for him. He is used to a pocket and does not get any rushing yds.

For comparison purposes here are 2022 stats with CJ Stroud vs 2023 with McCord. They had essentially the exact same receiving core both years.

And for the OSU WR stats comparison from 2022 to 2023 You can see that Harrison and Stover's stats are almost identical each year but Egbuka and Flemming's stats went WAY down.

Cade Stover stats (TE)

Emeka Egbuka stats (700 ycs less and 6 TD's less) Note: Egbuka did miss 3 games in the middle of the season

Julian Flemming stats (250 yds less and 6 TD's less)

For reference I just wanted to point out that Stroud's numbers were even better in 2021 than they were the next year in 2022. 5% better completion %, more yds etc. Basically because his entire WR core in 2022 was just ABSURDLY great.

That would be the case for every qb

Fran and Elijah are going to land some big ass dudes to protect Mr. McCord. Elijah gets the elephants and hippos or whatever. We will have SEC caliber lines on both sides, book it.
SEC caliber Georgia level or Vanderbilt level? :p

I am shocked that Kyle McCord isn't as good as CJ Stroud.

Could it be Golub family?
