The title of this article is pretty misleading. I don't believe Syracuse was a finalist the first time around for him and there's no confirmation they have reached out.

I know it’s a long shot but if we can flip this kid that would be huge. He can immediately slot in at QB2 potentially get first team reps if Steve isn’t back all the way and be a capable young quarterback for us to develop and be the future of the program.

He's recruited ONE high school quarterback with a full recruiting cycle that he didn't inherit on a short turnaround timeframe, who is redshirting, and has barely played. So setting aside the nonsensical declaration about that player...

The portal transfer Fran Brown landed laset year led the nation in assists, completions, passes over 20 yards, passes over 30 yards, passes over 40 yards, passes over 50 yeards, and passes over 60 yards.

The replacement QB he landed to replace the previous guy was also leading the nation in passing yardage after 4 games, prior to a season ending injury.
