Yes, excited to see what he may become. But dual threat QB's often get hurt so we need more than one.

I don't mind having a pocket passing QB but you better have a average or better O-Linemen. And that is one thing we don't have. I can live with Carney coming in and hope we can get Sidwar.

ll be very interesting to see how Fran works the portal. With Kyle leaving he needs a QB who is very good has some experience but has been sitting and doesn't like it.

IMO we don't start a true freshman QB. If I could clone McCord I would, wish he had another year for us to get the OL better and D also.

I think we can get a good G5 starter, Nixon’s offense and Fran’s ability to connect with kids, will help. If we get into an NIL battle with a factory school, that would be a problem but I figure the factories will be focused on P4 starters they can grab

I think Tulane is going to have to fend off a lot of programs for their QB. Only a freshman and has played very well.

Based on what Mccord is doing at Syracuse, why would a top notch QB not consider the Cuse? The QB spot as it looks now for next year....is wide open. I suspect we bring in an experienced portal QB...but a good HS QB has to look at the landscape here and think...I could start by year 2!!

He hasn’t. We’ve had 3 losses, Pitt was 100% on McCord, BC was 100% on our defense, and Stanford was mostly McCord too. 4 pick sixes in the Stanford / Pitt losses and he’s gotten away with more than that.

Could the line be better? Sure. But he’s not running for his life all game. If you want to see running for you life watch the DeVito years.

I like the kids we have in the program and the ones coming in as frosh. I would use NIL on retention and bringing in a QB who played this year at a lower level and did well.

One of the ways our fan base can grow is to believe we can recruit good OL and coach them up and protect. Dual threat is great if they can make all the throws, but that’s often not the case.
