For a long time, the vast majority of our transfers either flamed out or went to a much lower level to finish up their careers.

Q has 1 more NCAA tournament win then SU has since he started college and probably transfers to wherever his coach goes.

I am sure if Carlos had the exact same game in the first round of the NCAA tournament everyone here would be ecstatic.

thats why i didnt want him to return as PG and was actually fine with him leaving...7 turnovers is ridiculously bad

still, mcnees kept clemson locked down on defense until Q had 4 fouls and im sure he was a part of that

i would much prefer Q to carlos just based on defense and size...i just never expected that carlos would be the pg of the cuse when i was happy q was gone

Yeah, I have no desire to root for players who chose to leave SU. Granted, Q may have been pushed out the door, or at least created a scenario where returning wasn’t an option. Still, I really wasn’t a fan of his while at SU, so why would I be now?

I do. It started in Jan and Feb of 2024. People were screaming about how we needed a PG who can shoot and that Q shouldn’t be our starting PG this season.

Hey I am glad he found a school and coach that allowed him not to go to classes and just hoop. Correct me if I am wrong, he literally stopped attending classes for months here at Syracuse if I recall correctly.
If you want to frame the discussion, then put all the information out there. He has a good handle. Great passer. Also had a few strong rebounding games. No outside shot or midrange. Never attended classes and per insiders had become toxic in the locker room.

My post prior to the one you’re responding to touched on the eligibility issue and I have no problem with people taking issue with Q’s off the court stuff. What I take issue with is people discounting Q’s on court abilities as if we somehow were better without him. We weren’t and he absolutely would have helped us this year.
