Have a large group getting together to watch Texas Bowl in Syracuse including kids. Right now Im thinking Tully's which i know about or the new Revolutions which I have not seen yet. I would take any info or suggestions about any other potential sports bars. ( Have been to Wing Wagon also )

Its a little loud, but if kids are going and your pockets are deep, Dave and Busters in Carousel mall is perfect. I had my son's birthday party there last saturday and the bar area has dozens of huge tvs and the food was decent. Of course, the monster arcade right next to it is awesome for kids. But each kid needs $15-20 on their card to enjoy themselves for 2 hours.

Thanks.....If my pockets were deep I would be in Houston :(

ha! I hear ya. I didn't mean to make it sound like D&B's is going to bankrupt you. We really enjoyed it, although Tully's is still a staple.

Google "Dave and Buster's Coupons"

You can save some serious coinage.

The Retreat in Liverpool. But I'm biased.

My recommendation was based on the part of having kids attend the game. If I was kid at the Retreat, i'd want to leave after 5 minutes. Now as an adult? Retreat is awesome.

Cool, thanks, Just got 20.00 free coupons. Liam can go to town if we end up going there ( my youngest )

The servers are the best there...can they request servers by name?
Yes they can.

In the dining area? I would think kids would be happy. No video games, but better food and atmosphere. And as Mark pointed out, better servers.

Age of kids critical here, My two grown kids would be good with the retreat, my younger one (12) wants the games.

sto...call D&B and see if they plan to put sound on for the game. I haven't been to one in awhile so I can't remember if they have speakers at your booths/tables.

Avoid Tully's unless you have a death wish. The placed will be packed with familys and kids with zero interest in watching the game due to the odd start time of the game.

Would Trappers be a bad choice??
I've heard people going to Rosie's? Never been might that be a choice??
Ummm, what else????

I think a scouting expedition for Revolutions is in order on Sunday. I know right now it's a huge improvement over Tully's in terms of game watch experience. Same with BWW or Quaker Steak.

Place is huge. And drafts are $5.00.

Dave and Busters meh, overpriced, really noisy, and the food is horrible.

Rosies is a good place, Saltine Warrior, The Wildcat in Camillus, JRyans, Faegans, Hafners, a couple places in the mall would also suffice though I would hesitate to recommend Dave and Busters.

If you make it there let us know, heard good things but haven't made there yet myself.

How about Gordon Biersch at Destiny? Only been there one time--don't remember if there are TV's within sight of the booths, but good views from the bar along with a great beer selection made on the premises. Food was decent as well.

The Retreat on a Friday, during the holidays, at 6pm, to watch a game with kids in tow, would not be a good idea. I think D&B's is your best bet given the day / time and being able to accomodate everyone in your party.

With kids I would agree Dave and Busters is your best bet.

If your just a group of guys trying to catch the game or with the wives I would advise against D&B big time. Plenty of other restaurants you could catch the game at in Destiny with zero issue.

Wait what bar is that in destiny in the new wing?? Is tht revolution??

If you're looking for audio on the game, I doubt you would get it there

World of Beer is also opening in Destiny this weekend. Not sure what game watching would be like in there.
