Bahrain, Hat, and others- Thanks for stopping by.

The big question I think many of us have- and sorry if it's already been answered- is how our defense will match up with your offense. You have a ferocious running attack, and we've been good against the run so far this season. Your passing attack isn't huge, and our pass defense plays like they're afraid of footballs.

Is your offensive staff likely to assert what they do well, or do they scheme based on opponent weaknesses?

we never scheme to opponents weaknesses. Les Miles WILL ALWAYS play his strengths first, sometimes to a fault (see 2011 National Championship game). As fans, we are hoping to see us finally let our QB loose, but we know we will still be run heavy until someone stops us. I don't see anyone stopping Fournette at this point, so expect a heavy dose of run all game long

very true, I would do the same with a guy like Fournette, crazy not to. If they prove they can stop him then look elsewhere. To stop him would mean that a D will have to totally sell out to do so which would eventually open things up down the field

Run first...always. If we see Harris throwing it around a little more this weekend it will be because they are giving him another teaspoonful of opportunities to do so. I think as our season progresses we will see the passing game ever so slowly become more a part of our offense. But, if we have learned nothing else about Les over the years, we have learned that he is going to pound the football in the run game with 3 or 4 tailbacks getting carries. It's just who we are.

they have to sell out and play soft corners. no other chance to stop the run. but i dont expect to sell out right off until the dline/lb show they cant make plays.

I can't see any way Les Miles won't make us prove we can stop Fournette before abandoning what works, to be honest. I'm not sure there are many front 7's in the nation who can handle him so there's probably not much chance they'll decide that this is the week to go more pass heavy because they want to play the matchups.

I expect LSU to take the training wheels off this weekend, and get Harris some experience and confidence throwing the ball. They played very conservative the first two games - due to weather, Harris didn't get a chance to really throw the ball against the FCS team and get in a groove. So Les hunkered down and played it safe to get out 2-0 in conference games.

I would expect 25 passes or so, which is a lot for LSU.

If LSU throws the ball effectively on early downs, then the Orange will have to play honest (not load the box) and it should be "game on" for the running game and Leonard Fournette.

To be honest, I don't think stacking the box will matter. Consistently this weekend, Auburn knew what was coming and they couldn't stop it. Fournette had 12 yards per carry. It's not just his speed or physicality. He's the complete package and could start in the NFL right now.
