2 stats sum up this game:
1) NC State 21 Assists -Syracuse 10 assists. While they were penetrating, getting ball movement and easy layups, we were going one-on-one, particularly in the second half and almost every shot was a difficult one.
2) NC State 45 Rebounds-Syracuse 33 Rebounds. NC State has not been a good rebounding team. However against us, they'd usually not just get the rebound, but get the rebound for an easy putback. When they weren't powering past us for easy shots, we were not blocking out and they were getting as many shots as they wanted.
A third stat that's distressing-NC State shot 29% from 3 and still won by 20. It's not like they were hot and shooting the ball well.
As a mentioned in a previous post, what's most frustrating is this team has so much more talent than last year's team and is good enough to have won all of our ACC games this year to this point. Our Defense from the beginning of the year is just a distant memory.
