Looking back the FUMBLE is the one play that was totally bad luck and most likely cost us the game.

The refs really screwed us on the last drive and on not reviewing Qs catch.

We had Mang Great call

And 3 kicks lost the game.
2 shanks and the kick off OB.

Tough tough loss. This one stings. We should be 5-0.
More later after i watch it again.

After the second watch we had this game if we had simply opened up earlier. Gilbert has to put Shrader in position to run/pass. He throws a good mid range ball and most importantly his mobility gives the wrs time to get open. He is a huge threat that needs to be better utilized. Its not pretty but QBs like him will beat teams if provided the opportunity.
Other points.
We really got screwed by the refs. The last FSU series was terrible. Not reviewing the catch was not only terrible i believe it was against the rules.
Feel terrible for the team as they were robbed.

As to Dino he just isnt a very good in game coach.
I am however impressed with our talent level. We finally have ACC level kids.
Off season we need to bring in a punter as Williams isn't very good and his back up cost us the game.
I believe we can play with every team left on the schedule.
We will need to home wins to make a bowl and i think Dino will get another year because of the buyout.
A good coach has us 5-0 at this point. They should have gone with Shrader from the 1st snap against Ohio and we would be 5-0.

You didn’t even cover everything lol.

Off the top of my head. Not just doing a QB sneak to score and getting stopped on 4th down. That was huge. There’s zero reason to call anything but that play in that situation. It’s your highest chance of success. Instead run to the left towards one of their best players.

Just throwing Dabo out there cause he makes mistakes too.

I just think people look at results and say game time decisions make a good/bad coach without really watching the other 50 games a day to compare too..

We lack talent in some key areas. you can blame coaches for that while also admitting its been an issue for 20+ years and across multiple coaches so its causes has to be more than just the coaches.

Time management issues are bad.. you can easily find 20 games yesterday and every week where some coach screws it up, often both coaches in the same game.. Saban screws it up too.. But when you have 10x the talent it goes away as an issue. When you have less talent it gets magnified.

Reffing . yeah it sucks all over.. We take it to heart, but its hard to understand how a tv crew, who only replays a small set of plays in a game, ends up with most all the marginal plays they choose to replay all going against the same team so often. Sure SU gets the breaks too, but the glaring ones that hurt pretty much always seem to go against us. Again you see this effect 10-20 games a week on replay decisions alone.. They really need to improve this across the board.

I think it’s weird that for two years we hear that Dino only succeeds with other peoples players and can’t build a program and now it’s liking the players we have but he can’t coach

This year is a quantum leap forward in quality from last year - as well as 2019. Much more enjoyable product to watch on the field.

Hope the injuries are limited and we continue to improve.

Really enjoyed watching Shrader. He improved considerably from Liberty.

Yep. This is my takeaway too.

- They will be competitive in every game going fwd and that’s nice
- They are fun to watch on both sides of the ball
- Shrader is the guy; he won me over. Still think we might need TD at some point due to injury
- Dino will be our coach next year if I had to guess

I think the holding call which negated the interception was bad. It was fairly routine contact and a blown route. The receiver was not anywhere in the vicinity.

Dabo beat BC and NC state is much better than both Rutgers and FSU

*Who put the staff together

To clarify my point on Dino. I think he is an excellent Program head coach. He runs a clean program, is focused on getting the kids an education and to the next level in life. He is a faith based solid guy. He is an excellent CEO but a poor COO.
His in game coaching is very poor. Id give him a C-. His clock management might be a D. His half time adjustments are not strong. Simply put he isnt at his best on game days.
He can overcome this with solid OC and DCs. He hit a homerun with White hope we can keep him and have heard. Yes from the same group that went to Wild that he is already getting hard looks and i believe it.
Gilbert has a ways to go. Shrader basically called him out last night and i agree. Open up the play book and game plan to take advantage of Shraders strength which is in space. Give him a chance.
Dino did well on O when Lewis was calling the shots and when Eric had his amazing year. Good coaches are how we compete. He and this staff have an eye for talent and the portal is going to help us is we start to focus on it. Im good with the talent level and really high on White just like everyone. Gilbert we can only hope maybe the second half was a glimpse of the future lets hope so. Last point our new OL coach is the real deal. Sure Cav dealt with horrific injuries but he wasnt a good fit for us and this guy is. We have our physicality back.

Dino needs to be the face and let his staff run the games with the exceptions of 4th down calls.

Dabo went stale a while ago it just didn’t show up until the Ohio St game.

Funny how an AAC team manhandled Notre Dame first shot they got despite ND running through the ACC like toilet paper since they joined in other sports.
