Quick thoughts

CJ had a defensive rebound in the second half where it looked like there was no way he could get to the ball. He tipped the ball a couple times and ended up with a defensive rebound. He gets beat sometimes due to lack of height but he just plays and plays. He had no reason to get this ball other than outworking his opponent.

Dion had a few drives where he forced it and missed shots instead of passing. Especially the one where he went against three guys and it was blocked. That may have been part of the reason for sitting, but mainly I think it was because good scoop was dominating.

On the CJ note - he had the one rebound where he ripped it away from their big man. Showed he can bang it down low.

Completely agree with you guys on Joseph and his dribbling (or lack of). He just needs to pass it or make a move.

As far as Waiters being pulled - who did NOT think that a three was going to be jacked up in that situation? Dion should have been in his grill. I'm not worried though, Dion will learn from this. He will also learn from when he took it to the rim and three FLA players were there to block his shot. He can only get better as long as he is willing to learn.

Agreed on why Dion was pulled, with 15 seconds on the shot clock that was good defense with less than 5 and the guy just got the ball about 28-30' from the hoop Dion should not have been giving him room to dibble in front him, measure the shot and bounce into it no matter how far away he was. That is surely what JB was going to explain to Dion if he would have listened. That shot got that kid going as well.

Completely agree with every one about Kris dribbling. Not only is a turn over waiting to happen but it also completely stops the offense because he never goes anywhere. The only time he dribbles more than twice and it works is when he hits those long pull ups just inside the arc.

...as said in earlier game posts...JB has the luxury of playing his pieces as the game flows and each player goes well...tonight, Scoop and Triche were a tandem and were terrific...much like Triche and Waiters in the NY games.
Interestingly, JB pointed out in his presser how "good" Scoop was when he sat during the NY games...leading the cheers...I think he was sending a message to Dion...do the same and root for your teammates...then he said Dion is a very good player...trying to get his head up....

Fab can now do what his body tells him he should be doing. You can tell, too, his positioning is great, especially on defense. And now that he can react quicker and appropriately, we're seeing a great stride in his game.

I personally believe that Julie may be so upset because she is in a position to see what this is really doing to Jim, which is something that few, if any of us, ever get to see. I think it is tearing him up and she might be the only person to see it. When someone you love is in such pain, it really hurts.

That ref was Karl Hess, who would probably be up there with Burr and Higgins in the pantheon if he did more of our games. He cost us a game against Pitt several years ago with some of the most horrendous officiating I've ever seen.

I saw Julie at the half. My heart went out to her. It was a very tender moment between Carmelo & her.
I remember watching a game when Melo first came to the Knicks and Boeheim was at MSG. The announcers talked about Carmelo and Boeheim and how close they were. They said they basically talked once a week. Not sure if thats still the case but I think they are very very close.
