6. Syracuse ‘Head, Heart, Hustle’ struggled on defense in a 17-13 win over Vermont on Saturday. Goalie Drake Porter made 20 saves in the victory. He threw terrific outlet passes last week against Virginia. SU invert concepts and big/little pick defense need serious work. Vermont has talent, skill and goal scorers. Owen Hiltz (4G) and Stephen Rehfuss (eight points) had strong days for the Orange. Face-off wins were in short supply. Tucker Dordevic has a next level COD. Brendan Curry proved against UVA has he can strike with both hands. Otto rolls with Stony Brook on Friday at 1 p.m.

Denver's offense seems to be waking up so should be a very good test of where Georgetown is at.
