4. Syracuse — The Orange face Hopkins this weekend on ESPNU. The next three games will be intriguing to watch: Hopkins, Duke and Notre Dame in consecutive weeks. They have wins over Siena, Albany, Army, Virginia and St. John's. The Cavs were the only team to surpass 10 goals against the Orange defense. The stats speak glowingly about this group; they sit in the top 10 of many key categories. Face-off man Ben Williams holds all the keys to Saturday's game at Homewood, and SU leads the nation in face-off winning percentage. The Orange rank No. 3 in scoring offense and No. 8 in scoring defense. Orange have the top clearing percentage in the nation as well. #HHH

With victories over Duke and Notre Dame; Denver is really establishing itself as the team to beat.
Meanwhile, Albany is quietly regrouping after opening loss to us.Big game tomorrow at Maryland.

Denver's remaining schedule:

vs Ohio State
vs Penn State @ Dallas
at Georgetown
at Villanova
vs St Johns
at Providence
vs Marquette
BET @ Denver.

Perhaps the most positive report ever on the Orange by Quint. He must want us to seem better when we destroy Hopkins this weekend.
haha, no subtle digs this week... and on hopkins week to boot! Amazing.

Nova is solid, could see them dropping that one on the road. But the rest of that is cupcake city.

Maybe they might have a tough go with State Penn. That is a hard team to figure..beat Harvard, lost to Penn,Nova. If they beat UMass this weekend ...head into Texas and shock Denver that would really strengthen their cause and shot at the playoffs. Maybe it is a stretch.

Otherwise it is kind of a weaker schedule to close things out for Denver. That said they did play UNC and ND. Can't say that they aren't trying to build something.

The more he pumps up Syracuse now the more he can pump up Hopkins Monday morning if they win. Quint is a step ahead of all of us.

Quint has been stuck in NYC this weekend covering the NCAA Wrestling Championships.

It must chap his behind that he couldn't be in Homerwood today.
