disclaimer this is not a quibble with the great dave rahme i swear it
"Hackett said the Orange might narrow its offensive focus a little, doing more of what has been working"
might? Might? MIGHT?
doing more of what works... hmmm, i don't know, i suppose, maybe... but that's just what the defense expects... you know what the defense doesn't expect? us doing stuff that doesn't work! so maybe we should do that. like tight end arounds - they totally don't expect that
i like the introspection by hackett, but this stuff shows the weaknesses of being so multiple
"“Right now, it’s about the things we are completing, the things we are running well. We have to do them,” he said. “I have to be more of, ‘OK, what can these guys do? What do they have the confidence in? What do they believe in?’”
and
“To have confidence is what wins games. For those guys to be out there and truly believe in the things that we’re trying to get done, and just do those … then they know, ‘Hey, you can’t stop me at this,’” Hackett said. “Right now, we don’t have that.”
