Rak vs Okafor... Round 1

Okafor may have gotten the win and better stats but I think Rak held his own. Yeah Rak missed a lot of bunnies that he usualy makes but Okafor did not score much in the post against Christmas either. Most of Okafor's points came in transition or on offensive rebounds and put backs. I'm looking forward to Round 2 in two weeks when Rak doesn't go 5-17 from the floor.

Roc is really handicapped by the fact that there is no backup center. He has to play almost every defensive possession like he has four fouls. It really is a testament to his defense and his intellect that Okafor didn't score more.

I'm praying you are right. I thought Rak came out nervous for the big highlight match-up and would settle down in the second half.

Sadly, he didn't. He just kept on missing those bunnies.

He was missing a lot of shots he normally makes though - hopefully he turns it around next meeting.

I don't think Okafor bothered Rak that much if at all. The jitters and trying so hard were more of a factor to his misses than Okafor was.

Boy I do not see many of his shots as bunnies!! He was at least two to three feet further from the basket than usual and had a 6 ft 10 in person to shot over or around. As said above, I think he plays a bit careful knowing he has no back up center behind him.
