Gonz almost lost by 50 to Mich. Did they have a bad game plan? It happens. So few examples of 3 games in 3 days no one really knows how it will play out. Lots of examples of avg teams going on 3-4-day runs in the conf Tourneys too.
BUT BUT BUT Kansas's best player was out too!. Yea no crap, he's been out for 3 weeks. Kansas players were able to practice and play games for weeks to adapt. I'm furious at Autry, but people need to state facts too.We have a very solid team tournament talent for sure but only if our top player returns. SU simply can't replace Donnie.
I'm not sure how the FT nightmare is fixed but it has to be addressed as it cost us the Houston game and will cost us others. We have the talent to make the tournament but only if Donnie is healthy.
Donnie has been hurt since before the Monmouth game. He missed a few practices before that game. Which was surprising he played in it.BUT BUT BUT Kansas's best player was out too!. Donnie was a gametime decision, and sounds like he thought he might play through that night along with the team. Considering we came in and gave Houston all they could handle without Donnie is something. I always felt that our offense was way too reliant on pass the ball to Donnie and he makes a play in the first place.
Iowa St is really what people are angry about and mostly the 2nd half, Autry and the staff needed to do something to adjust and they just didn't. Then again though I saw alot teams way better than us with much better coaches get their doors blown off too last week and weren't even competitive for any part of their game.
When I heard that Iowa St went to bed knowing that they had been fleeced out of 300K due to 2 points and then got 0-2 Cuse at 10AM ha things make alot more sense.
Interesting. I thought the Syracuse.com people posted video of when the injury happened midway in the Monmouth game.Donnie has been hurt since before the Monmouth game. He missed a few practices before that game. Which was surprising he played in it.
He was hurt before. Probably tried playing through it, and it was still a problem.Interesting. I thought the Syracuse.com people posted video of when the injury happened midway in the Monmouth game.
Such a weird post. Already noted but if there are any aspects of this game that don’t rely heavily on athleticism they would be 3 pt shooting and FTs. I mean look at how well our team shot the ball during the years when athleticism was at our lowest (relatively) with Girard, Boeheims, Swider.Team athleticism is top notch, LOL. Top notch must mean not being able to rebound, hit threes or foul shots.
I saw Iowa st play St John’s and out tough them in their matchup with Rick Pitino coaching them. Then they beat up on Creighton and Greg McDermott. Creighton was down 14 after the first half. Despite playing very well in the 2nd half, Creighton could only match Iowa State in the 2nd half. I knew Iowa St would be a really tough win. They are 7-0 for a reason. My disappointment was with our total 2nd half collapse after being pleasantly surprised with our effort in the first half. That Las Vegas tournament had a great competitive field. We have to learn how to play with consistent effort for all 40 minutes. And Iowa State was just resting at the pool until they met us?

Buddy and Cole got significant runs in the NBA. I'm not certain any player on this team is at that level.Such a weird post. But I agree with 917, We had Stevie Thompson, (one hell of an athlete) but could he shoot 2PT/FT outside of 10 feet?
Oshae Brissette 46 gamesYes,
Cole Swider 35 Games
Buddy Boehiem 20 Games
