Rank the Post-McNabb Quarterbacks

How bad is it that I bet we'd all sign up for RJ Anderson right now? Either the make no mistakes game manager of 2001 or the pass threat of 2003?
I loved RJ, mainly because on my 21st birthday, he made me a drink in his apartment (my friends set up a huge scavenger hunt across the city and campus since I was the first one to turn 21, and since Dwight Freeney had plans - and yes, he wanted to do it but couldn't - they went to RJ...really good guy, and I still have the autographed football from that night sitting in my office at work), and while I liked the fact that he was 'safe'...I think we all know the reason we were so successful in 2001 was Freeney. I've never seen a defensive end influence the game/season as much as Freeney did that year. It was incredible.

I think RJ is probably the best comparison for Hunt at this point, to be honest. So actually, now that I think about it...I suppose I would sign up for an RJ-like season for Terrel.

Loeb in Hackett's offense would have been interesting to see, same with Paulus having a 2nd yr at QB. Kind of makes sense why SU has struggled when you look at this list.

Paulus was interesting. I understand why he played, but I still wish he hadn't. I would have loved seeing Nassib start getting fully developed that year. His last two seasons would have been even better than they already were with that much more experience under his belt.

I think it worked better to not throw Nassib out there under that scrutiny right away, especially after what happened with Andrew Robinson, or like Long/Wilson/Kimble faced last year. The lumps Paulus took that year helped the following two years.

Would you have loved seeing Nassib get sacked 27 times?

Remember the Drew Allen guy who got us all pumped up and then...yeah well.
Remember the guy who came here and got us all pumped up about him? Pretty sure he had half this board thinking Troy Aikman was rolling into town.

Aha yeah that's what I mean. And then.... Ughhhhh!

Easily. I remember the boneheaded plays far too well to ever forgive him.

...ugh, Michigan...

EDIT: Holy cow, even on THAT play he ran backward 23 yards!!!

Yeah, but he made things so exciting. Whenever his name gets brought up, a big smile comes across my face just thinking about all those running backward plays.

Nassib, Anderson, Paulus and Nunes

Mason was a heck of a QB, pre-McNabb.

The inability to replace McNabb - the loss of Vick - was the downfall of the program.
Yeah, people forget with Mason, he signed with the Raiders, and then had a decent CFL career if memory serves.

How could you not love Nunes:

Tyree caught that ball directly in front of me. One of my favorite memories from the Dome. Nunes used to walk through our parking lot after games, extremely nice guy.

Mason could throw a football an absolute mile - something freakish like 80 yards.

Also, a name that is completely forgotten is Keith Downing who was McNabb's backup. He would have been better than at least 75% of the QBs on that list if he didn't have the unfortunate timing of being there during McNabb's tenure.

People talk about Downing that way, but I wonder how true it really is that he would have been good as the main guy
