RB Comparison - Allen vs. Rhodes

I disagree. I think he gets a lot of credit. Nobody questions his desire, work ethic, or love for SU. The only knock is his speed. It's too bad, because with more speed he'd be looking at a good shot at a legit pro career, but it's an accurate critique. He can't do anything about it. He maximizes his god given abilities.

Yeah this narrative that people don't appreciate LQA is off to me. You can question his speed while recognizing his heart and passion.

I agree. People do not give him the props he deserves. The kid loves Syracuse and has worked his butt off and plays every down hard. Really wish everyone knew how lucky we are to have him

I don’t think anyone is arguing whether Allen or Rhodes loves Cuse more. If anyone doesn’t think Damien loves Cuse you need to follow him on social media. He watches every game, is highly knowledgeable and stays active the Cuse/Rochester community promoting Cuse. Rhodes was an absolute freak athlete. He was recruited by every big time school in the country to play CB, but he chose Cuse to stay home and ultimately play RB.

If you were to ask me who I think is better at this point in their career it’s probably Rhodes but if Allen stays another year he will surpass Rhodes and honestly be a top 10 RB in Cuse history without a doubt.

What are we talking about here? Are we saying top end talent or who is the better back? The answer is probably not the same for both questions. Allen is the better back

Rhodes had an O-line. Allen doesn’t.

Rhodes also had Will Hicks slowing down the breakaway speed.

I don't understand why staying another year matters. Are you saying you expect Allen to improve that much more in his last year?
