Class of 2015 RB Dontae Strickland (NJ) Signed LOI

I don't think he has reached out to them recently he is a lot closer with the jersey and other northern kids... I will ask him to and see what he says

This whole, having a guy in the loop thing (but enough outside the loop so as not to create 'sources' issues, is great. We need to recruit more parents for the board.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that the majority of the class stays intact. Kids are fickle so nothing will suprise me. I would hope that the O-line recruits see a chance for early playing time and would be excited about that. I know the record isn't pretty this year, but I have seen many positives and the team has competed admirably with a young group and a team dealing with a lot of injuries.

@SB_Football favorite in CJ 5 led by dynamic Dontae Strickland - MSG Varsity http://shar.es/10NLvy via @msg_varsity @tae_strick_23

Player you’ve gotta see: Dontae Strickland, South Brunswick. Perhaps the only thing more difficult than stopping the Syracuse-bound senior is trying to label him. What makes the 6-0, 185-pounder so special is the range in his game. Defenders are on edge the instant he goes in motion from the slot where his great footwork and graceful stride are hypnotizing and his game-breaking potential limitless Strickland has turned 69 carries into 814 yards (11..8 ypc.) and 12 TDs, caught six passes totaling 92 yards and completed a 46-yard pass as well. And, don't forget what he does on defense. Lurking in the secondary, Strickland has picked off four passes. And, did we mention special teams? He's returned a punt and a kickoff for scores. - See more at: http://www.msgvarsity.com/new-jerse...eview-1.1653844#sthash.CPrl6s79.fHRFbEbr.dpuf

This is the guy I'm most excited to see in our backfield.

Football – NJSIAA Playoffs – South Brunswick 39, East Brunswick 14

Nov142014

East Brunswick football team played with a lot of heart despite having to play against a much stronger team. The Bears moved the ball strongly in their first drive and had a couple of tries inside the ‘Red Zone’ to score against South Brunswick but came up short. South Brunswick then took over on the 20 and on the second offensive play of the game for the Vikings, Amir Johnson threw a pass to Wendell Allen who romped 79 yards to jump out to a 7-0 lead. On the next drive East Brunswick was not able to move the ball and the Vikings Dontae Strickland was completely unstoppable – racking up 178 yards on just 7 carries. The Vikings were up 32-0 at the half. In the second half, South Brunswick mercifully rested many of their starters and East Brunswick faired much better. South Brunswick still scored first padding the lead to 39-0. The Bears then mounted a nice drive capped off by a long run by Kevin Hemmings for a touchdown. The defense then caused a turnover getting East Brunswick the ball back deep in Viking territory. East Brunswick quickly drove down to the 1 yard line, but from there it took 3 plays to finally punch it in. After the kick by Alex Boyko the score was 39-14 which turned out to be the final score.

Is this our return guy we have been waiting for so long?

No, everyone will complain about how he lacks vision even though it is impossible to return anything to significance when the rest of the return unit doesn't block anyone.
