Gotta think since we have Tyrone in the fold, it will be awhile before we bring in another rb recruit unless it's a big time kid. I doubt Forrest gets a commit table offer for quite a while.

Then today we go and offer Jordan Fredericks from LI. I was thinking the same way as you though so interesting...but as long as staff is getting who they want I'm happy

I think they bring in a minimum of 3 RBs this year. We have 2 senior and 2 junior RBs and that's it. They recruited one APB this past year who will take Gulley's spot after a likely redshirt. Howard is likely headed for defense. Without a few more bodies, we'll have a serious depth problem in a couple of years. They may take a couple more under the radar RB prospects who could switch to LB preferably (another position relatively short on numbers) down the line. And they'll save one for a can't miss guy whom they could even work into the rotation this year, if only to avoid a logjam of numbers down the line.

With that Sparq score, and given the fact that he's a NY guy, I hope we offer him as an ATH and not necessarily a RB. Can't have enough good NY athletes in this program.

No knock on, but IMO the only reason he is rated the top RB in the class and has a solid 3 star rating is because he has been a regular attendee at all of these camps since he was a Freshman. I really think Fredericks and Perkins are just as good, if not better then Forrest. That's nothing against Forrest though because I kind of want us to offer him as well. I do like Strickland and Ozigbo's tape slightly more, but it's splitting hairs. It would be nice having the 3 best running banks in NYS though.

Agreed. Look it's pretty simple. Forrest has been to cuse a few times and they didn't offer him for whatever reason and the other two were offered. These guys won't make every right 'offer' decision but they know what they're doing. the ratings.

I'm also not sold that both the Island kids are going to be rbs and believe the staff will throw the kitchen sink at a gem. The fact that they offered Ozigbo even after the other two commitments tells me they are still looking at other backs. Granted the second committed after Zigs offer but the point is they didn't think Ozigbo would commit on the spot before kids who had offers when he hasn't even been to visit. There are kids they still want that they know will take some work.
