Class of 2027 RB Kemon Spell (PA) Decom from PSU / Offered

If Angeli never got hurt it’d be completely different, so I don’t know how fair it is to say that, but at this moment yes they’re not a winning program
Look at his list. 3 of the 5 have won a national championship and the other has made the playoffs. Unfortunately we aren’t a winning program and haven’t been since the 90s.

Spell is going to ND, but if there’s another highly ranked RB recruit down the line then yes that would be the time for it
I really wonder if it’s even a thing. It’s been so long since it’s been worn and even longer since someone notable has warn it. I really don’t think kids care who Jim brown is anymore. I really believe it’s just a number now unless your cuse fan

Stop it 😂 — if you’re a running back, you have to care about Jim Brown. You’re crazy for even saying that lol. That man set the standard — it’s not just a number, it’s a legacy.

I just don’t think kids think that way anymore. I could be wrong but I think of 44 would win recruiting battles they would use it,They haven’t.

Yeah and thats probably why hes interested in coming here. He knows he can get early playing time.
Bingo
It's not about selling what we have right now, it's what we will have with him here and how quickly he gets on the field.

He’s a legend of the sport — arguably the greatest player in NFL history. Just handing that number to a 5-star RB to get a commitment doesn’t make sense to me. Doing that would cheapen what the number means and ruin a big part of Cuse tradition.

Well, someone must be selling vision... What we would want to run versus what we are capable of running right now. An addition like this would help offensive line recruiting exponentially. I do not believe we want to pass the ball 40 times per game in any way long term. We want to be multiple. We have good examples such as Laquint, Sean Tucker, and exponentially our offensive coordinators work with Saquon Barkley as well as Mccaffrey. We have to be very strategic I trust with excellent high level recruiting .75 And 0.25 transfer portal. We must develop players and we better learn how to develop a solid run game. Did you notice how many young players are playing on this team, while still certainly not attempting to quit nor throw anyone under the bus. Think of this analogy, we are struggling with what we have and we are still slightly competitive if we play really good defense, we do have some talent. The analogy is coach Adrian Autry in basketball literal astronomic talent dearth last year, what happened. I pray this fan base is able to see such things at a University such as this and what they are attempting to do. Trust me I was here during initial football collapse, and also trust me on this it certainly started long before the 2001 season. literally horrific support from leadership. We have had that recently, they need help, get behind this team(s). There are so many things people have little to no clue about. Not important to focus on, however good to realize. Please support this University and its athletics department. Big picture. Disclaimer as well, there are still serious challenges in leadership decisions especially from the micro NIL side of things, They better get it together from a macro standpoint which includes donors of all sizes. They are trying and they firmly believe in the student athlete.

And honestly whether it’s the OL or Willis himself, he has been just average at times so I think this kid could play right away

Similar size, stature and style as Derrick Henry. I don't think he's a system fit here though. I think he'd tear it up in a more traditional pro style set. His better runs are to the outside and his better run Saturday was out of a pistol set with Carney.

If we want to be serious about running going forward, then we need to hire an OL coach that focuses specifically on run blocking... or replace Dale Williams with someone who can teach both skills. Dale is not cutting it with run technique.
