It’s not every day you see a freshman prospect hold double-digit scholarship offers, but that’s exactly the case with Landen Williams-Callis.

Williams-Callis is a running back from Randall High School in Richmond, Texas. The Huskers are a team in the running for the talented 2027 back, who stands about 5-foot-8 and has offers from the likes of Alabama, Georgia and Ohio State.

Going to the NFL is the goal of countless college football players, and the high school freshman has his sights set on the league.

“What makes the Huskers unique is that they have a lot of student-athletes make it to the NFL,” Williams-Callis stated to HuskerMax.

Although recruiting rules dictate that he can’t yet physically speak with a coach, he acknowledged that the offer came from defensive backs coach Evan Cooper.

“I can’t get in contact with the coach right now, but coach Evan is the one who offered.”

Williams-Callis has many strong points, including eye-catching speed.

“I can bring anything you need in a player. I can play any position on the field, I have speed like a cheetah, I have leadership, I am respectful, I get along with people good, I’m everything you can ask for in a player! My work ethic is one of one.”

He added: “I want it more than anybody, leadership, me pushing myself the best I can be, student before athlete, and my confidence; I feel like I’m the best there is in the most humble way.”

He also described how it felt to receive his offer from the Huskers.

“I was excited to receive an offer from Nebraska. I can’t wait to come down to Nebraska. I got to get with my coach so he can set it up.”
