this years home sched. I have been going to games since the dome opened and a season ticket holder of 4 tix for 15 years. I have to drive two hours+ to get there. Now i am stuck with two Friday night games, means time off from work to get there, and Stony Brook on a Sat?? I guess when ESPN talks, schools jump. I am having a hard time getting excited about this year. I always have in the past and have stuck through thick and thin waiting...waiting...waiting ... for us to turn the corner. Now this home sched? Ugh. Somebody please give me the strength to continue.

With the way we have been recruiting, or have we been?, and really not much at all retruning on both sides of the ball, coming off a dismal last year stretch by losing thier last 6, now this absolutely horrible schedule. We may be looking at a 2 or 3 win season and crawling into a much harder conference in the ACC next year. Hard to be optimistic, at least in BB we can say wait until next year, Noel or not, but I am dreading the next two years as it looks right now in FB. Never mind next year, that is over and done with, where are we going with this program? It has been going down...down ...down....and at this point I have to call that 8-5 year a fluke. On the positive side...we are playing some really good teams next year, and lets face it, if this teams somehow makes it to a bowl, they are on the right track. Unfortunaetly we don't have WV next year, arguably our best performances period have been when we played them.

Okay, so you leave work at 5 pm and get to the Dome. Friday night games are loud and fun. Work an extra two hours on Wednesday and Thursday.

You get to see two Big Ten teams, with Minn and NW, Pitt, UConn with Coach P, a solid Louisville team and yes, Stony Brook.

If you root for the Orange it doesn't matter about SB - it's fun to go to the games and watch the Orange play.

Enough already about the schedule.

If you can't get excited about a developing program with new guys like Durell Eskridge, Wayne Morgan, Ashton Broyld, Myles Davis, and others then what can I say - I know that I'm excited about next year.

So, again, enough already with the schedule complaints.

Geez, dont know if I can drive to Minny in time for kickoff :)

OK I have to agree with the original poster here. I feel like there is a disconnect from football right now, and the schedule seems to prove my theory. If this is whats to come in terms of product the fans get, then its' a great disappointment.

Is it really that awful to just get through this one year when we know what is coming in 2013. Clemson, FSU, Maryland, BC, Pitt - for the rest of our lives we're going to have exciting home schedules. This year's sucks, but it's one year.

I agree. Get through this year and next years schedule will be like we all cheated on our wives with the strange list of teams we will be playing.

always next year -then the next year and on and on-

Yep, 5 star recruits just fall off trees for schools to pick up... Oh Lord

Our recruiting is fine.

Thank you. Sick of the bitching from much of this fan base. I swear that most of our fan base doesn't really like football. There's always an excuse or a complaint. College football is fun, its a great time, its a full day event. Win, lose, or draw, I absolutely love football Saturdays (or Friday nights). The same can't be said about much of our fan base. We could play 6 high school teams and I would still get seasons.
