In what basically amounts to 3 years and 3 months, Bromley has developed into what his potential showed then. That's a credit to an under appreciated high schooler who found a home at the eleventh hour because of a) an all star game and b) a Syracuse coach trying to fill out a class and taking a shot on a player he saw with measurables.
It's awesome to watch Jay dominate and have the success he's having. A DT or Interior D-Lineman very seldom sees sack totals like that. Those #'s are typically reserved for the new breed of DE's and rush LB'ers.
Seriously, enjoy the next 4-or-5 games with Jay in the middle, he's unique and you may not necessarily see many like him in the near future. Kid can move a pocket, takes great pursuit angles when he gets depth into the backfield, high motor. Really happy for him.
Just think, he went from hopefully Community College to True Freshman at CUSE getting serious rotation. I don't believe he had any starts as Fr and he was outmatched sometimes when he did go out there. I don't think you can say that the past two years.
Let's get 6.
