They were +17, but almost all of that was in the first half. our guys really stepped up & battled off the glass in the second half.

Lot's of criticism of CJ tonight, but he did grab 9 boards & was battling really hard under the glass. If he just nails two of his missed open J's he would have been a hero.

Most of the shots CJ took tonight were good ones, and he usually makes them. I had no issue with his play tonight.

Jimmy Dykes offered up a treatise on Syracuse's rebounding problems and essentially said that it will be the achilles heel come tournament time. Syracuse cannot always rely on the fact that the normally are plus in the turnovers to make up for the lack of rebounding. In and of itself the deficit in rebounding can be tolerated to some extend but if it is coupled with either poor 3 point shooting or poor free throw shooting it is a recipe for losing. Syracuse did display quite a few good things tonight and in the end they did enough to win a close game.

KJ was awesome and Fab had a great game and impacted the outcome significantly. Still waiting on Waiters to regain his moxie. I can't figure out why his shot has changed such that he is leaning back and fading away every time he takes a shot from more than 10 ft.

There are several reasons for our poor rebounding but one in particular is that our guards, especially DW and Scoop, tend to sit perched 17 feet from the bucket after the shot goes up looking for outlet passes. We aren't running anywhere if we don't get the rebound in the first place.
