Recruiting problems 21'

No I'm not sure what the problem is but it seems like every year it maybe we get worse and worse I don't know if it's every year but this year specifically it has been terrible,we have recruited not like a power 5 school. More like an AAC school, that's unacceptable!
I know most likely we don't have facilities like Clemson, Alabama, Texas, of course not, but our facilities are good enough to recruit good enough, to recruit top talent or or at least much better than we have been.
I don't know much about what's going on, I don't have any subscriptions to anything to give me any of the inside info so I'm looking for any kind of explanations whatsoever.

I mean besides all the obvious I know all the uphill battles we face in terms of weather, the private school, or lack of money I guess you could say with a private school usually comes with , and the lack of talent in New York State which I think is getting better slowly and we'll get better slowly I think all around because of the population is slowly, very slowly getting better throughout the state But still I think there's no reason why we should be this bad in terms of competing with Marshall and kent st for recruits. I mean come on!

Coming off a one win season with coach on a very hot seat. Throw in Syracuse famous weather and we have a very uphill battle. With so many young starters recruits know they will be on a dogfight for playing time.

We have no local recruiting base. It's hard to go into areas like NC / FL and try to compete with the local guys for top talent. There's also a lack of pipelines like a place like BC or Notre Dame has in the Tri-State.

Some people spend the money on the subscriptions to anything that give the inside info and then they don't want to give it to someone who doesn't want to pay but wants to know. So there's that.

I just don't have the money to waste on all these things right now so I figured I would just ask is that a problem?
Sometimes these things just turn me off because sp many want to be a comedian or a smart a#$ or whatever, can't just answer a question . In the meantime they fail miserably on what their intentions were .

We may not be spending on par with Clemson, Bama and Texas...but CUSE has put new/more $$$ into practice facilities, dome renovations and I'll bet coaches' salaries to be middle of the road for ACC.
When your 6 and 17 over the last 2 seasons and have little "home grown" talent(thank God for Oh Canada!) to choose from- just what is the attraction? When a recruit watches a CUSE game on TV and sees the dome MAYBE 2/3 full..when you've been known as Punter U when it comes draft time, the 4 and 5 stars aren't lining up to come here.
We NEED to win games, we need to be competitive on both sides of the ball. The D looks stout, the O is not there yet. Hence 60th ranked recruiting classes is where we live.

i agree if we win wew can be competitive but its pretty obvious to me that we picked the wrong coach! This is whre the AD comes in!

Idk hopefully we continue to have mild winters when it comes to syracuse and u have to get the right coach , give him what he needs to be competive & pick the right coaches to complete the staff!!!!! Not just his friends like babers did

This got discussed a few months ago. BC and Cuse are not as close in recruiting as you’d think. BC, as a Catholic school, has a huge Catholic school pipeline. In some ways, it’s a Notre Dame safety school.

thats how im feeling right now. like i said!!!! I mentioned all of this things that these people have mentioned.

I would agree with that. Not too mention the location, boston and syracuse... lol
