Looking over committ dates from prior years, we historically haven't gotten many in early January. Typically we have bunches in mid-late December (players who completed their visits after the end of their HS seasons?) and mid-late January (mostly in the 20s - players locking in before signing day?). We usually only see 1, maybe 2, committs in the first two weeks of January. We've only had a couple of years with sizable groups holding off until signing day, which doesn't bode well for those hoping for silent verbals. Not sure where the various allowable contact periods lie in regards to this timing, but they could be a factor as well.

I'd be interested in a listing of players we didn't know about, or that received very little board attention, until they were signed.
