showing now on sundance. nutshell. southern man accused of a rape and murder released after 20 years on new DNA evidence tries to adapt to life on the outside. anyone else watched the first couple episodes?

just saw the first episode and loved it. looking forward to this one.

really like the show so far . . . it's a slow burn, really taking advantage of the deliberate pace that cable television can offer. one criticism: I can hear the screenwriter too often - some of the characters are not yet developed enough to have their own voice, and you are hearing the similar screenwriter(s) too often voiced through the characters. I expect that will change as the character development settles in. don't mind all that much, as the writers are highly literate and this is a highly literate show. Daniel only knows the outside world through the books he read in prison, and he speaks in conversation like a novelist would - deliberately and with attention to small details.
