Had a clear view of that last play from the baseline. To not call that foul, you are not a capable referee. I don’t want to hear the, we shouldnt have been in that spot blah blah. Obv not, but we were. And we had our chance to win taken away from us. Just a terrible no-call that would not happen to almost any power conf team AT HOME.

It was a missed call but even if it was called, the foul I saw was well before the shot and not a shooting foul. The resulting scenario would have been Syracuse ball under the basket with very little time left.

Refs sucked but we equally sucked. You have to overcome bad refs. We’re incapable of that because we’re so poorly coached.

Look, we have the worst coach in bball. We can’t shoot ft or play against a zone. But, the game could still have been won if the correct call was made at the end. And it was an easy one.

Yes, it was a horrific non call.

Unfortunately, college basketball officiating is atrocious. It’s the worst officiated major sport, by a mile. So if you need a last possession foul to maybe beat a CAA team, you run the risk of that atrociousness costing you.

Nobody cares what the officials name is, he's garbage, and the coach is garbage too. He oversees the worst FT shooting team in the country, and it literally gets worse AS THE SEASON GOES ON... wtfff...

I can’t blame a ref for not knowing the defender didn’t hit the ball, and not wanting to decide the game based on an assumption, especially when Kiyan was possibly also out of control and under/behind the backboard. Bad call, yes, but when you put yourself in the position of being down to Hofstra at home in the least ten seconds, you’ve already lost.

I agree, but we can’t say if this, if that. In the biggest moment of the game, he blew an easy one.

I never understand the argument that it’s okay that an official is terrible because you shouldn’t leave it up to them being terrible. They are there to do their job correctly. Just like the players are there to play. And if the players don’t play well, they deserve to be criticized, and as we’ve all said recently, it’s 100% justified because they are now getting paid. But somehow, officials are absolutely atrocious and it’s also the players fault because they should have played better? Makes zero sense. And (reminder) those officials are paid to do their job right, too.

No question. And the officials tonight were bad. But not as bad as SU. The point is you can’t blame the loss on a couple bad calls when the team stunk up the gym for 40 minutes. Fact is there is simply no way a Hofstra, given the level of recruits they get, should ever come within 10 points of SU. Period.

What in God’s name are you talking about?
