Retro told me this idea...I think it has merit.

With this alliance between the three leagues...going forward.

Say Syracuse (ACC) plays Rutgers (B1G) again...have the PAC12 ref the game.

If Ohio St plays Oregon, send out the zebras from Greensboro...etc...

It was BS what transpired on Saturday.

I'd go the Brian Kelly approach - execute them.

Or -- here's a thought -- do away with the conference affiliated officials. Have a large pool -- they can be regional, no need to have them randomly traveling everywhere -- but then they are just there to do a job, not represent "balance" by being affiliated with the visiting team. It's a dumb, flawed approach as-is.

Remember the uniform violation penalties that the SEC officiating crew called against us multiple times in the 1998 opener? Anyone ever see that called ever / any other time, at any level of football?

I like it. In the interim tell the BiG that crew will never set foot on an ACC field ever again.
It should be the new ACC commissioner Phillips, who should be backing SU and stepping up to deal with these conference issues. It should be his job to promote, support each of his conference teams against any bias. With this new alliance thing, it should be tops on his list to insure fairness for conference members.

A closer look.

what view did they use to make the call.. the big mystery in all these is what replays they are seeing and what did they base the decision on. Did they not have a replay and went with the call on the field? the ACC replay was a bad angle was that all they had? what were all the other cameras doing?

Under Shiano's orders to "make it right", they happily made up chit and denied the obvious - even on further review. Remember the sock calls against UT? The Clemson player, who intercepted a pass and then obviously stepped OB? All the phantom "PI" calls against us? It's been going on for years. It's dirty. And it has to stop. Players should determine the game not one-sided officials trying to "negate the home-field advantage".

with today's technology why are we still running out chains ? put a chip in the nose of the ball and let GPS tell you exactly (and immediately )where the ball is spotted and whether or not it's a first down. lose the chain gang !
