I gotta give a lot of credit to Larry Scott.
The Pac 10 was never the equal of any of the other major conferences in most fans eyes.
At best, they exceeded the talents of the BE in football, but in bball, they have been typically fighting off the A10 or MVC to the 6th best league. Not to mention that most of their games were on obscure channels, and most started after 10 PM on the east coast (especially for abball).
Then Larry Scott comes along, and suddenly the Pac12 is one of the premier power conferences.
Credit where credit is due, this guy put lip stick on pig (albeit an attractive one), declared his league a premier power league, and simply made it so.
Great hire by the conference, and great job by him.
