Whos the better coach, Flood or HCSS? I am leaning Flood at this point.
As already said, scheduling can really help or hurt you. Its great that SU schedules big name programs but I believe there is merit to scheduling cupcakes so the team can work on things in a real game instead of practice.
Regardless of scheduling, 6 wins sure looks better than 3 from the outside. The only thing I take away is that at least we remained somewhat competitive in most of our games. Loss is a loss though, so it sucks sour onions. We need to start winning.
if we had played there schedule this year even with the injuries were bowlingWhos the better coach, Flood or HCSS? I am leaning Flood at this point.
put in thier 4th string QB and see what happens. You think it's all SS? HA
nc state is injury related .pitt we just cant beat. Maryland is mediocre but there skills guys are superior to oursI'm so sick of the scheduling excuse thing. We barely beat Nova. Lost to a MEDIOCRE Maryland team, a MEDIOCRE NC State team and a MEDIOCRE Pitt team. As of right now, none of the teams we played in the non-conference are ranked in the top 25. How is that "over-scheduling?" This team is just not good, from the coaching on down, regardless of the schedule they have played.
Nova was our supposed cupcake and SU got lucky to beat them
So, not saying that it would have helped, but having 6 wins to be bowl eligible, which gives all those additional practice time, is worth something I would think. No one is going to look back and look at the schedules as long as you make a bowl, and the team would/should benefit from going to a bowl game.

The key question in the offseason is why so many players were hurt. Is it bad luck or is there something in the training regimen that could be done differently.
Even with the injuries? We averaged 12.5 points per game in our losses. So which 6 teams on Rutgers schedule were we going to hold to 10 and under?
Do people realize that in 7 of the last 13 seasons, we have had 8 or more losses?
