Remember in July when we all thought Rutgers would only win 3 games

Everyone points to the Nova game...Yes, we were lucky to beat them without our starting QB. How well would Nova have done on equal footing without their starting QB who basically was their entire team? They wouldn't have score 3 points.

As opposed to the 10 their QB put up?

That game was a bit of an oddity. Terrell Hunt doesn't get the zig and it could've ended very differently.

that game was close because the QB play stunk. 117 rating. Hunt threw 17 times for a 105 rating, him throwing that punch might've been the play of the game for us, it's not like he was playing well

We were driving, if we score then Villanova doesn't go 4 corners the balance of the game.

Not important in the grand scheme of this terrible season.

oh come on it was in the middle of the field, we have no idea what would've happened that drive much less the rest of the game

we stink when our passing game stinks and our passing game always stinks so we always stink

Our offense last season was Hunt gaining about 6 or 7 yards on broken plays. Up 2 scores and the ball to start the 2nd half and the route could've been on.

Again, doesn't matter.

Even with the injuries? We averaged 12.5 points per game in our losses. So which 6 teams on Rutgers schedule were we going to hold to 10 and under?

Do people realize that in 7 of the last 13 seasons, we have had 8 or more losses?

acc defenses are better than big 10. we would of beat howard, Tulane, penn state, Michigan, Indiana and either navy or Washington st

sorry, no way. We only beat howard and tulane , we lose to everyone else

He's really our 2nd string qb. Only reason Long was 4th string was because they were going to redshirt him. As soon as Hunt went down foe the year, Long became #2.
We've played 4 QBs. One of them had to be 4th string. TurNova is a senior whom I believe has played in every game this year.

Penn State is worse than us on offense and almost lost to Temple. Michigan is really bad and their players have given up.

Hunt's passer rating in the Villanova game is pretty meaningless to me. It's the first quarter and half of the season, he didn't even get a full game. And his OC was calling bubble screens with numbers that weren't in our favor. Three drives were taken away from him (as a passer). One by a 65 yard TD run. One by an Estime drop for a loss of 8 yards, and one by a punch.

On that last drive he got us to their 34 with a 1st down, 50 yard drive at the time. But then his punching brought us to midfield.

Maybe he stinks the rest of the game, but really who knows. Taking a passer rating from that just seems like a waste of time.

I was one of the posters who felt Rutgers wouldn't win more than 3. They've played far better than I expected they would and yes, I think Ralph Friegen is the reason. I didn't expect them to beat Washington St. or Indiana, let alone Michigan. They are going bowling and we are not. It has certainly changed my mind on OOC scheduling. They are 3 games better than I figured they'd be. SU is 3 games worse. I figured SU would be on the same level as Louisville. Injuries have certainly had a major impact, but we obviously have seen the problems beyond injuries with this disgustingly bad offense. Hopes dashed yet again this year. Its flat out tough to watch our games this year for me. I can only imagine what its like for people to watch who are casual fans or just people looking for a good football game.
yeah but wash st gave it away late, mich was jobbed by a replay guy and indiana also lost their QB and has stumbled without him.

The difference between SU and Rutgers SOS this year is negligible.

SU: 41st toughest schedule, 0-4 vs. Top 30
Rutgers: 45th toughest schedule, 0-4 vs. Top 30

If's and but's don't count in sports. They go both ways. You are what your record is, plain and simple.

This makes me so sad

Wait what...Rutgers had the 45th toughest schedule in the nation and SU's was only 41?

Same to you - hope you had a great day!

After yesterday we are up to 39th and Rutgers is still 45th (per Sagarin).

Wow...the ACC and the division SU is in didn't bump them higher on that amazes me. The only team they played that finished under 500 was Wake.
