Remember the 1996 Carrier Classic

Revenge game. My father went to EMU and I still hear about it. He's actually showed me the damn trophy in their arena.

No mercy.

It was brutal to lose to that team at home in the Carrier Classic, even though EMU was a pretty good team.

They had a 5-5 PG who was a big time scorer--actually played in the NBA.

And a really athletic 6-5 SG who spent time in the NBA [with the Spurs, I believe]. Embarrassing loss nevertheless.

That Eastern Michigan team beat Duke by 15 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

I was home for the holidays from college and saw those guys play live @ Akron. Impressive players. They lost the game somehow.
