Awful speacials. Even with some of the most one-side officiating I've seen in the 25 years I've been following Syracuse football (as in watching intently every single play of every single year for 25 years), Syracuse should be ahead by several scores.
It has been a VERY long time since I've been confident when watching some scrawny Orange helmeted player line up for a field goal attempt ... and ...
Kickoff return fumble (-7 points); blocked 24 yard filed goal attempt (-3 points); 30 yard punt return to give Cincinnati offense excellent FG (result in a TD drive), missed 42-yard field goal attempt (-3 points) ... the beat goes on.
Special teams has cost Syracuse at least 2 games. Wonder if that number will continue to climb.
