Reminder: Evening Huddle Tonight with SU Football Coordinators at 7 PM

Constantly optimizing every aspect

is it too complex, are there unnecessary plays, are we allowing them to play fast, are right guys in right spots

So mad I cant tune in for tonight. Anyone got the summary

Queelly and Luzt getting noticeably better in practice
Was excited seeing Queeley’s size gain. He’s got an opportunity to be a sideline presence and over the top guy.

Pretty clear both sides had issues.

Offense was hit with injuries, no spring camp, had to adjust as the year went on and against ND actually functioned as they did a better job

White had new system, no spring, lost his key play makers as the year went on, started out with a plan, realized he didnt have the guys who could do it in the right spots mid season, so adjusted/simplified got better

both were upbeat to me.

Really interested to see Whites eye light up with how much we have not seen in his D yet that he hopes will be there after 30+ practices to put it back to gether. We saw the this is all we can do model last year with the FR all over.

Gilbert talking about snapping 7 guys... we didnt even have 7 guys we could do that with last year.

both coaches really seemed excited.

Strong close

Tucker, GWilliams, Thompson and Jones are such a strong group of underclassmem to build around
Id throw my man Marlowe in there too. He’s a big bad man

Hopefully Gilbert is strong in his play calling and coaching. Certainly not the most dynamic personality.

While it appears that way on camera, he may be different in the locker room, on the practice field, sideline etc. I know myself, I'm an average public speaker at best. My job does not call for any sort of public speaking (or very rarely) so it's not something I practice, so I'm sure I'd come off as a complete bumbling idiot in a live interview like this. But when I help coach (albeit Little League baseball), I'd say I'm much more animated and "fun". So perhaps this is a case of that, just on a significantly higher level.

Tony White, on the other hand - that guy had me ready to get out and play just listening to him and how excited he was to talk about the team and what they're doing.

I agree with this too

I'm somewhat similar. There's an element of teaching to physical therapy and I've had many patients tell me I explain things better than anyone else they've had and suggest I should be a teacher. I explain that I hate public speaking and have always been much more comfortable one-on-one than in a large group. Even hanging out with friends, I would rather hang out with 3 or 4 than go to a party. Different personalities translate better to different settings.
