Report: Chandler Jones OD'd on pills Saturday and was taken to hospital.

Who knows if this "OD" thing is correct. The police may know something, or they may be full of it. Maybe he took something and got sick to his stomach. I think this story is getting press because it plays into his brother's (Bone's) well-known drug problems.

It couldn't have been too serious if he was at practice Monday and Tuesday with no apparent ill-effects.
 
In their 20's, millions in the bank, first round bye. Can't say this is something I'd consider outlandish. Pills are what kids do more than ever now. Much more difficult to determine how they'll affect any individual person.

I'd bet this is more of a lesson learned "party" moment more than an indication of substance abuse.

But, hey, what do I know? Maybe he is outta control, just doesn't smell that way to me.

Possibly pain pills? That could easily be the case when we're talking about a NFL player. It's surprising we don't hear about something like that happening all the time.

I hate twitter. Two hack radio hosts (Dennis & Callahan) in Boston post a rumor and it gets legs even when it's not true. The only facts are that Chandler Jones showed up to the police station at 8am, asked for help, and they helped him. Gronk was in Florida and there's proof of that.

If he was doing something illegal, I doubt he was heading to the police station to ask for help.

D&C are a couple of racist idiots.

Jones practiced Monday & Tuesday, which is atypical if someone had "OD'd" a day prior.

I grew up in Foxboro and it's likely I went to HS with the cops who helped him out.

Bad weed. He calmed down. Life goes on.

I was thinking from a health perspective more. You can't OD on weed like pills.
 
He took Adderall and probably mixed it with something and had a bad reaction is what I have heard.

D&C are right wing shock jocks. Chris Curtis is their producer is the guy who wrote those tweets in the OP.

Gronkowski was in South Beach confirmed this past weekend. Gronk and Chandler live on the same street. They are neighbors and live a block from the Foxboro PD. Chandler went to the police station because he needed help and didn't want to dial 911 because that becomes public record. Chandler went to the police station shirtless and drowsy.

He went to the h0spital got IVs into him and re-hydrated. He was out of the hospital by Monday morning.

Weird story but it is going to be a minor distraction.
