Happen to be staying at the team hotel. Wearing Orange (of course) in the lobby drinking a nice glass of pinot and Dr. Gross stopped to say hello and thank us for supporting the program. Never met him before but he spent a good 15 minutes chatting with us. So cool! Also had nice discussions with Herm Frazier and Jason Poles. Consensus is we're ready to shock the world tomorrow.

He's a fun guy to talk to, as is Jason. Never spoke with Frazier.

I know Herm. He is a really nice guy. As is Jason. Never really spoken to Gross. But know Jason and Herm very well.
I think that is cool that Dr. Gross did that.

Which hotel?

you forget the Lville game 2 yrs ago, WVU game 3yrs ago?

Personally, I went into that Louisville game expecting a W and thinking it would be the 2012 version of the previous years WVU game where our opponent walked into a buzz saw. And WVU we had beaten the previous year, so beating them in the Dome in 2011 was no shock. That it was such a blowout was surprising though.

Beating a top 10 ND team away from the Dome, would be a much bigger deal than either of those home wins. We've had our share of good wins recently, but nothing like beating an ND or USC or Penn State(still pissed about that one).

DID YOU ASK HIM ABOUT THE METLIFE DEAL???????????

I did not, but Herm Frazier brought it up without asking. Said that the money we get from the deal was a godsend but also noted that it was a big plus to the ACC reinforcing our NY's college team branding. He also intimated that we may be looking at a Yankee Stadium deal rotating games with UConn, Army, and Rutgers. Obviously not in the same years as MetLife and they would not impact the number of home games in Syracuse.

Syracuse vs. Rutgers in Yankee Stadium. B1G vs. ACC for Gotham supremacy. Like Georgia vs. The Gators in Jacksonville.

If they won't impact home games then we can expect 7 Dome games some years.

So. do I have this right?
  • 205 nothing scheduled
  • 2016 vs ND at MetLife
  • 2017 maybe YS
  • 2018 maybe YS
  • 2019 2038 - we have 10 game 20 year deal with MetLife starting in 2019 (game very other year)
  • potential deal with Yankee Stadium presumably in years that we don't play in MetLife
