As an aside, there should be no credit given Minnesota on the TD play that was called back on the Goggins hold. Yes, it was a great throw and we had good coverage. But the throw never happens if the lineman doesn't tackle Goggins a half step from Shortell. Goggins beat him from the snap and would have easily sacked Shortell before any pass was attempted.

Yeah, I know, why do so many people keep saying this?

It's not "Syracuse got lucky because the touchdown was negated by a holding call." It should be "Minnesota got lucky because their lineman tackled Goggins and prevented him from reaching the quarterback."

Also, King, I agree that the trip on Mackey was a strange call. Looked like he was moving laterally and happened to make leg contact with the defensive player.

Disagree about one thing. Whigham did lose his man on that first-quarter pass. But you suggest that Anderson would never do such a thing. Trouble is, Anderson routinely has difficulty in coverage.
