Just curious if anyone has heard how Rex has progressed? (I know he's redshirted)

Yesterday reinforced how important it is to have depth. Massive drop off from ED to the back ups. Watson goes down and Clemson brings in a dude who can spin it at the P5 level. That's where we need to be. I think next year we are one step closer.

Rex actually travelled with the team yesterday. If a Dungey is done for the year I would not be surprised to see Rex take over as QB especially the way Wilson and Mahoney played yesterday.

Forget the redshirt! You've got a supposed stud coming in next year who they would probably love to redshirt behind Dungey( if he CAN play) and nobody else who is effective. Let him look at some game time now. What are you worried about? That he won't be eligible for 2020? We'll have 7 QBs cumulatively in the fold by then.

Exactly. Plus where do people get the idea ED is out for NCSt, let alone the season? Too many Holiday Inn Express doctors around here calling "multiple" "concussions". I've had 2 of those, and know the effects firsthand. There's absolutely no way he had one yesterday. Agree with others - Dino used the "opportunity" to sit him out the rest of the game he clearly saw we had no chance in.

I agree if there's zero pass rush, the first read is open, and there's no defender within 15 yards of that first read.

He'd own all day in that scenario.

Because he has a 5 star younger brother who would appreciate playing an extra year with his older brother.

As much as we are building up DeVito...Culpepper could very well beat him out. Babers system runs as well as the plays run between the QB's ears. Save him for the future

people really dont get this offense at all..
its not a first read is covered go to player 2 offense..

its a small window offense, the Qb and the WR both react to the way the play is covered and the routes are adjusted on the fly.

thats why Dino says its a long learning curve and why it seems like the QB is locked in, because he is and so many of our routes are 2-3 guys in one area

Wilson was fine, he threw more good balls than bad, why do you think FSU got their Qb killed, because they had long developing plays trying to get guys open.

I had more issue with the play calling than the execution.

Neal scores on his run. we dont take penalties on the first 2 drives in the red zone and kick FG and make the FG we missed and is 40-20 even without Dungey.

controling our mistakes is the key and we didnt do it against a much better team

Respectfully disagree. Used to feel that way but Babers changed my mind on it. I honestly don't think there is any consideration given to playing with his brother. So much will happen between then and now.
