Rick Pitino Wasting No Time Building at Iona

That's a naive, embarrassing take.
But it's not naive to list his supposed errors that every other program is involved in. Except for his liaison with another consenting adult of course. Make no mistake, he will get another big time job, I guess Syracuse is too puritanical to be that place.

Guess I missed the hookers and blow aspect that "every other program" participated in.

People have procured chippys for athletes since Roman times, probably Sumerian times. I don't think he was directly involved in it, boosters and bagmen don't ya know.

Ah, so two wrongs make a right.

Thanks for clearing that up for me.

And if you think Rick "wasn't directly involved in it":

a) what proof do you have, other than you don't "think so", and
b) I have a great bridge to sell you. You'll love it.

Quit while you're behind.

If he goes someplace big after Iona and puts together another great team, none of his past will be brought up. Like Bruce Pearl at Auburn. Or Kelvin Sampson at Houston.

I know it seems he's been gone for a bit, but let me remind everyone. CousCuse says stuff to get attention. He even admitted it.
I think Syracuse fans would be fine with Rick as the coach. He is going to be leaving Iona the same time as JB retires. If they don't get the hire right and Rick goes to a P5 school and has them playing the way his teams play, I think fans will be very unhappy that he was ruled out for past transgressions.

The only reason he got the job is because Ionas president use to be at Transylvania University

That's not a hole we want to go down. I'm sure Syracuse players benefited in ways we aren't privy of or want to share on this board.

Do you have any clue how old he is? Nobody is going to hire a guy, who is going to have to now spend a year or two in Iona, to build something. Not only is he rapidly approaching the finish line, but there is too much baggage If he were 40 years old, it might be a different story. But no high major is going to sign up for that corrupt sh/tshow for a couple of years, max.

well considering vampires are immortal, I hardly feel age is much of a factor
