If he goes someplace big after Iona and puts together another great team, none of his past will be brought up. Like Bruce Pearl at Auburn. Or Kelvin Sampson at Houston.

I think Syracuse fans would be fine with Rick as the coach. He is going to be leaving Iona the same time as JB retires. If they don't get the hire right and Rick goes to a P5 school and has them playing the way his teams play, I think fans will be very unhappy that he was ruled out for past transgressions.

Not only is he rapidly approaching the finish line, but there is too much baggage If he were 40 years old, it might be a different story.
