I didn't see the game but I see that he punted for a 46.7 yard average with a long punt of 54 yards.

Sounds pretty good to me.

The announcers made the last punt sound much worse than it was. It was 42 yards with no return. Not a bomb, but 42 net yards is just a few yards shy of what you'd expect from an NFL punter in the open field. If he had booted it 50 yards and Denver allowed a modest 6 yard return, the announcers either wouldn't have said anything about the punt or would have just said it was a good one.

Last year Denver averaged only 43.6 yards per punt. 46.7 sounds good for a starting performance in the NFL to me looking at their previous punter's stats.
