Great win for Syracuse. But on the rewatch what an exhibition in meathead football!
A few fun examples:
- Fullback dives by Syracuse in 3rd and medium.
- Syracuse 3rd down formations. Yes we went to shotgun but had both running backs in to block on multiple occasions instead of running routes.
- Colorado attempting to run a reverse on their final drive, which they had no timeouts left and were pinned deep.
- Only to be rivaled by perhaps the Coup de Grace of all meathead football. Colorado 4th and 10 on what would be their final play. Pinned deep in their zone and desperately needing a first down. Do you make sure the ball stays in the hands of Kordell Stewart and perhaps get it to Michael Westbrook? Absolutely not! Instead, let’s pitch the ball to our running back and have him throw a prayer to no one! Brilliant!!!!!
