What a shame. I was watching it and as the time passed without word on his condition you kind of knew what was coming. Gut-wrenching stuff.

I watched Jimmie Johnson crash himself out of the NASCAR championship last night. It was hard to believe he made such a dumb move considering the factors involved, but bottom line is none of that means anything when you think about how fragile a life is for a race car driver going 180 mph. These cars are so much safer than ever, but today shows how easy a life can be lost.
